DYN Motion Identity
2024DYN3D Design / Animation / On-Set VFX Supervisor
Dyn launched in 2023 with five sports under one platform: basketball, handball, volleyball, table tennis and hockey. UnitedSenses developed an identity across streaming, digital and social, connecting the umbrella brand with the individual sports channels. The visual system pairs athletes with a shared blue environment, court markings and three-dimensional balls. Each sport keeps its own colour and character while belonging to the same Dyn world.

Five sports, one visual world
A motion identity for the umbrella brand and each of the sports channel brands.
UnitedSenses, entrant’s project statement — MUSE Creative Awards, DYN Sport Platform Identity.
Dyn’s launch proposition placed the individual sports at the heart of the platform. Its Move Your Sport programme allowed subscribers to direct support towards their chosen discipline’s youth development. That wider brand context makes the balance between a shared identity and recognisable sport channels especially relevant: the platform has one name, but its communities retain their own presence.
The challenge was to give a new platform a recognisable presence across very different sports and viewing formats. In the finished identity, the blue space provides continuity. Court and field lines become graphic structure, while floating balls bring each sport’s equipment into the brand environment. Coloured channel tiles distinguish the disciplines without changing the underlying language.
Athletes remain central to that world. A handball jump, a basketball stance or a volleyball action gives the identity a physical presence. The surrounding geometry connects those moments to the platform, rather than treating the logo as a separate interruption.

From the set to the identity
Real performances give the designed environment a credible centre. Filming dribbles, jumps, throws and racket movements preserves the differences between disciplines, while the shared 3D world connects them to Dyn. The greenscreen material shows the sporting gestures that the surrounding graphics need to support.
On-set VFX supervision connects those physical performances to the space built around them. My work across the shoot, 3D design and animation linked the athlete imagery with the motion identity, so that the sporting action and the graphic system could read as one composition.
A system that carries the programme
The identity extends beyond the opening sequence. Match announcements, statistics, programme titles and social posts reuse the same spatial language. Solid coloured panels give text and information a clear foreground against the blue setting. The relationship between these elements matters: viewers can move from a sport channel to its programme or match information while staying inside a recognisable visual system.
The supplied applications show that range, from a matchup panel and programme promotion to vertical social formats and a channel page. The brand can carry both the atmosphere of sport and the practical information around it.
