Dornbracht META

A bathroom can share the same essential geometry and still feel entirely personal. For Dornbracht META, Aixsponza explored that idea through a product film and a series of rendered interiors. The armatures stay precise and restrained; colour, surface and light change the character of the rooms around them. The result connects a close view of the product with the atmosphere of a complete space.

A clear form, many surroundings
The universal design of the META bathroom fittings series creates ideal conditions for eclecticism: an interior style that embodies ultimate individuality.
Dornbracht, current product-design statement — META: Minimalism meets eclecticism.
Dornbracht describes META as a minimalist design built around cylindrical geometry and right-angle connections, designed by Sieger Design. That reduction creates room for different interior expressions. In the case imagery, the same clear product language sits beside pale timber, patterned stone, dark surfaces and saturated colour.
Contrast makes the restrained product language legible in different interiors. A reflective fitting can pick up the atmosphere around it; a dark finish can establish a clear silhouette against a pale basin. Colour and material variation give each room its own character while the fitting’s geometry remains the point of continuity.

Make the product part of the room
Moving between product detail and a complete interior connects two scales of decision: how a fitting is made and how it changes the experience of a room. Close views give form and finish enough attention to be understood; wider compositions place those qualities in an architectural context.
Aixsponza’s original case connects the project with the idea of a personal wellbeing space and identifies Houdini simulations as part of the team’s production. Here, the emphasis is on the relationship between a restrained product and an interior with its own character: design becomes tangible through light, texture, proportion and context.

The image across multiple screens
The paired vertical screens let product and setting be read together. One field can concentrate on a fitting or shower detail while the other establishes a different scale or material context. That relationship extends the film’s central idea into an installation: the object’s precision and the room’s atmosphere remain visible at the same time.
This is screen content rendered for a multiscreen installation. It is shown in its combined format so both image areas remain visible, preserving the composition of the supplied file.
In the design press
Haustec’s March 2019 feature documents the META refinement through three design variants, new finishes and different control concepts. Its interior imagery explicitly credits Aixsponza’s renderings. The article gives the visual work a concrete product context: a reduced family of fittings presented through distinctly different bathroom atmospheres.
